Passport Requirements

1.New Passport

All applicants must fill the application Form PP1

  1. Be a Kenyan Citizen
  2. Two(2) duly completed Passport application form Form PP1
  3. Applicant’s Birth, Adoption or Registration (original and photocopy) Certificate In some instances an applicant’s parent(s) birth certificate maybe required
  4. Four (4) very current coloured Passport size photographs of the applicant on plain background with full face and both ears visible
  5. Copy of valid Residency permit (Iqama)
  6. Payment as detailed in the fees structure

2. New Passport for Children Born in Saudi Arabia or other Middle East Countries

  1. Two (2) duly completed Passport application Form PP2
  2. Expired or filled up Passport being replaced and its copy
  3. Four (4) current coloured Passport size photographs of the child with full face and both ears visible and with plain background
  4. Passport copies of both parents
  5. Child's original birth certificate. If not in English, it must be translated at the Embassy. Note: Birth Notification certificate and Hospital Entry forms are not accepted
  6. Copy of parents residency permits (Iqama)
  7. In some instances, copies of both parents Birth Certificates may be required
  8. Payment as detailed in the fees structure

3. Replacement of Passport after (Expired / Filled up) 5/10 years

  1. Two (2) duly completed Passport application Form PP1
  2. Expired or filled up Passport being replaced and its copy
  3. Four (4) very current coloured Passport size photographs of the applicant on plain background with full face and both ears visible
  4. Copy of valid Residency Permit (Iqama)
  5. Payment as detailed in the fees structure

4. Replacement of Mutilated Passport

  1. Two (2) duly completed Passport application Form PP1
  2. Mutilated Passport to be replaced and its copy
  3. An affidavit detailing the circumstances under which the mutilation occurred
  4. Four (4) very recent coloured Passport size photographs of the applicant on plain background with full face and both ears visible
  5. Payment as detailed in the fees structure

5. Replacement of Lost Passport

  1. Two (2) duly completed Passport application Form PP1
  2. Four (4) very recent coloured Passport size photographs of the applicant on plain background with full face and both ears visible
  3. An affidavit detailing the circumstances under which the loss occurred
  4. Police abstract or immigration entry details report issued by Saudi authorities
  5. Letter explaining circumstances of loss
  6. Payment as detailed in the fees structure

6. Diplomatic Passport

  1. Two (2) duly completed Passport application Form PP1
  2. Letter from Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Nairobi-Kenya)
  3. Old Passport or original Birth Certificate and National Identity Card together with their respective photocopies
  4. Four (4) very recent coloured Passport size photographs of the applicant on plain background with full face and both ears visible
  5. Payment as detailed in the fees structure

Notes:-

Applicants under 18 years of age must have one of the Parents’/Guardians’ consent letter and a copy of the National Identity Card.
